OCULAR DISEASE PROFICIENCY EXAMINATION
A Poem by Enald
The second proficiency examination, a daunting fight,
On ocular disease, in fading light
Just like having cataract, retinitis pigmentosa, or lesions
I hoped I can score not equal to 4 extensions
The first page, a stranger's face
The second, too, in this unfamiliar test
Perhaps I only knew Marcus Gunn
Perhaps that's because I want to have a Gunn
And shoot at the person of who I've become
A person who didn't study well for the Ocular Disease
Or am I the disease, myself, I ponder?
Will getting rid of me, the disease, make the world a better place?
No.
Because I still have a goal
I still have a purpose
And that is not by becoming a disease to other people
But become a doctor who corrects vision
I may not be the best at ocular disease
But that doesn't mean I'll continue being a disease
Xanthelasma are yellow
Poliosis are white
I want to be a healthy bacterium
So I can shine bright ☀️
Cheers for finishing the second proficiency exam!
