February 3, 2026. Precision is everything in clinical practice. The PECC interns were tasked with verifying the letter sizes on the monitors across our respective lanes. By calculating the exact dimensions relative to the test distance, we ensured that every visual acuity measurement we take is as accurate as possible. It’s all in the details!
February 3, 2026. Doc Vivian led a deep dive into the pillar of our profession: our organizations. We traced the history of how the Integrated Philippine Association of Optometrists (IPAO) came to be, gaining a better understanding of the foundation that supports our national accredited community. Knowing our history helps us build a better future.
February 4, 2026. Interns teaching interns! Angel took the lead today, discussing the nuances of conducting a proper visual field exam. February 7, 2026. The Arcus Caelestis Basketball Team officially hit the court for our first practice ahead of Opto Days 2026: The Battle of Nations. We’re bringing the energy, though we did have a minor setback, sending healing vibes to Rednel, who took one for the team and got injured during the session. Rest up, we need you for the tournament!
February 12, 2026. Doc Jason walked us through various ocular diseases, highlighting the specific "hallmarks" that make each condition unique. Learning these diagnostic keys is what turns a student into a clinician.
February 14, 2026. Happy Valentine’s Day to Arcus Caelestis! ❤️ While others were out on dates, we were being "lawfully good" during our 7th Proficiency Exam. Jurisprudence and Ethics proved to be a real challenge, even the process of elimination couldn't save us this time!
But at the end of the day, being true to ourselves and our future profession is what matters. I hope everyone learns to love Optometry today; if you give your heart to this field, I promise it will eventually reciprocate that love.
